The CD1408-FU1800 is a surface mount fast recovery rectifier diode from Bourns, designed for high frequency switching power supplies, inverters, freewheeling, and polarity protection applications. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 800V and an average forward current of 1A. The device features a fast reverse recovery time of 35ns typical, enabling efficient high-speed switching. The forward voltage is 2.5V maximum at 1A, and the junction capacitance is 10pF typical. The peak forward surge current is 25A for an 8.3ms single half sine-wave. The diode is glass passivated for reliability and operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. It is housed in a compact 1408 chip package with concave terminals, compatible with SOD87 and SOD123 footprints. The package is low profile and suitable for automated pick-and-place assembly. Thermal resistance is 80°C/W junction-to-ambient and 40°C/W junction-to-lead. The device is RoHS compliant, lead-free, and carries a Proposition 65 warning.
