The Texas Instruments CC3120RNMARGKR is a SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® Network Processor, an Internet-of-Things solution for MCU applications. It integrates a wireless network processor (NWP) and power-management subsystems, completely offloading Wi-Fi and internet protocols from the application microcontroller.
This device operates in the 2.4GHz frequency band and supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi modes, functioning as both a station and an access point. It offers robust security features including WPA2 personal and enterprise, WPA3 personal and enterprise, and secure sockets (SSLv3, TLS1.0/1.1/TLS1.2). The processor includes an IPv4 and IPv6 TCP/IP stack with industry-standard BSD socket APIs, supporting up to 16 simultaneous TCP or UDP sockets.
Designed for surface mounting, the CC3120RNMARGKR comes in a 64-VFQFN exposed pad package. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and requires a voltage supply between 2.1V and 3.6V. Key interfaces include SPI and UART, with a maximum data rate of 54Mbps.
