Qualified against Bluetooth Core 4.1, this dual-mode transceiver is designed for low-cost applications and features a single-ended 50-Ohm RF interface.

 

Key features include support for up to 7 active devices, scatternet capabilities allowing up to 3 piconets simultaneously, and multiple SCO links. It supports various voice air-coding formats and provides an assisted mode for HFP 1.6 Wideband Speech (WBS) or A2DP profiles to reduce host processing and power consumption.

 

For Low Energy (LE) operations, the CC2564BRVMR supports up to 10 connections and multiple sniff instances for minimum power consumption. Its independent buffering for LE ensures performance is not affected by BR/EDR operations. The device also includes built-in coexistence and prioritization handling for BR/EDR and LE.

 

Packaged in a 76-terminal VQFNP-MR (RVM) measuring 8mm x 8mm with a 0.6mm pitch, this surface-mount component is supplied on tape and reel in quantities of 250 or 2500. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
