The OptiFuse CBW28-1.5A is a thermal circuit breaker designed for residential and light commercial electrical systems. It provides reliable overcurrent protection for low-power circuits, automatically interrupting electrical flow when the current exceeds the designated 1.5A threshold. This prevents potential electrical fires and damage to connected devices.
Key specifications include a voltage rating of 250 VAC and 32 VDC, with an interrupt capacity of 1000A at 250 VAC and 200A at 32 VDC. The breaker employs thermal-magnetic trip technology for robust protection against both long-term overcurrents and short-circuit conditions. It features a convenient push-to-reset actuator and a snap-in front panel mount for easy installation in panels with a thickness of 0.8 – 2.1mm.
With its compact size and durable construction, the CBW28-1.5A is suitable for applications where space-saving is essential. It is designed to meet relevant electrical standards, ensuring reliable performance and safety compliance. The terminals are 0.250” [6.35mm] quick connect, nickel-plated brass.
Calibration data indicates that for current ratings 1A-2.5A, tripping may occur between 101% to 149% of rated current, and must occur at 150% within 1 hour. For ratings 3.0A-16A, tripping may occur between 101% to 134%, and must occur at 135% within 1 hour. An ambient temperature correction factor is provided to prevent nuisance tripping.
