CAT5113YI00

The CAT5113YI00 from ON Semiconductor is a single, 100-tap digitally programmable potentiometer (DPP™) designed as an electronic replacement for mechanical potentiometers. It offers a linear taper and a resistance value of 100 kΩ.

This device operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 2.5V to 6V and features an ultra-low standby current of 10 nA. The wiper setting is stored in non-volatile EEPROM memory, ensuring that the setting is retained when power is removed and automatically reinstated upon power return. Control is managed via an increment up/down serial interface using CS, U/D, and INC pins.

The CAT5113YI00 is housed in an 8-TSSOP surface-mount package, measuring 3mm in length and 4.4mm in width. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Applications include automated product calibration, remote control adjustments, offset and gain control, and programmable analog functions where precise, repeatable adjustments are required.

This digitally programmable potentiometer can function as a three-terminal resistive divider or a two-terminal variable resistor, making it suitable for various automated adjustment tasks in high-volume production or in hard-to-access environments.
