The CAT4016HV6-GT2 from ON Semiconductor is a 16-channel constant current LED driver suitable for billboard, marquee, instrument, and general-purpose display applications. It allows LED channel currents to be programmed together via an external RSET resistor, with a range from 2 mA to 100 mA per channel.
This device operates with a logic supply voltage range of 3 V to 5.5 V and features a high-speed 4-wire serial interface up to 25 MHz. Individual channels can be controlled using a shift register and latch configuration, and multiple devices can be cascaded via the SOUT pin. A BLANK control pin is included to disable all channels independently.
