The C8051T616-GMR is an 8-bit microcontroller from Silicon Labs based on the high-speed 8051 core. It features a pipelined instruction architecture that executes up to 25 MIPS at a 25 MHz clock speed. The program memory consists of 16KB of one-time programmable (OTP) EPROM, with 1.25KB of internal RAM. This device is designed for applications requiring fixed firmware where reprogramming is not needed.
On-chip analog peripherals include a 10-bit ADC with 13 external inputs capable of sampling at up to 500 ksps, a built-in temperature sensor, and comparators with programmable hysteresis. Digital peripherals include a hardware UART, SMBus (I2C), and SPI serial interfaces, as well as a programmable counter array (PCA) with PWM functionality. General-purpose I/O consists of 21 pins with high sink current capability.
The microcontroller operates from a supply voltage of 1.8V to 3.6V and includes an internal oscillator at 24.5 MHz with ±2% accuracy, eliminating the need for an external crystal in many applications. An external oscillator option is also available. The device is housed in a 24-WFQFN exposed pad package (24-QFN 4x4mm) and is rated for operation from -40°C to +85°C.
