The C8051F716-GMR is an 8-bit microcontroller from Silicon Labs based on the high-speed 8051 core, part of the C8051F70x/71x family. It features 16KB of in-system programmable Flash memory and 512 bytes of internal data RAM, operating at up to 25 MHz with 25 MIPS throughput through a pipelined architecture.
Connectivity options include SMBus (I2C-compatible), enhanced SPI, and UART/USART serial interfaces. On-chip peripherals include a capacitive sensing controller, power-on reset (POR), PWM outputs, temperature sensor, and watchdog timer (WDT). The device provides 29 general-purpose I/O lines with high sink current.
The microcontroller operates from a supply voltage of 1.8V to 3.6V and is rated for industrial temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. It is available in a 32-lead VFQFN exposed pad package (32-QFN, 5x5mm) suitable for surface mount assembly.
An integrated 10-bit analog-to-digital converter with three channels and an internal oscillator (±2% accuracy) reduce external component count. On-chip debug circuitry enables full-speed, non-intrusive in-system debugging without an emulator.
