The C8051F380DK is a complete evaluation platform designed for the Silicon Labs C8051F380 8-bit microcontroller. This development kit includes the evaluation board, cables, power supply, and a USB debug adapter programmer, providing everything needed to begin development. The board is built around the C8051F380 device, a high-speed 8051-compatible MCU core that executes up to 70% of instructions in 1 or 2 system clocks, achieving 48 MIPS performance.
The C8051F380 microcontroller integrates 64 kB of in-system programmable Flash memory and 4352 B of RAM. Analog peripherals include a 10-bit ADC with up to 500 ksps sampling rate, two comparators, and an internal voltage reference. The MCU also features a USB 2.0 compliant full-speed (12 Mbps) function controller with integrated clock recovery, eliminating the need for an external crystal in many applications.
Digital I/O includes 40/25 port pins, all 5 V tolerant with high sink current, along with hardware SPI, two I2C/SMBus, and two enhanced UART serial ports. Six general-purpose 16-bit counter/timers and a programmable counter array with five capture/compare modules provide flexible timing capabilities. The operating voltage range of 2.7 to 5.25 V and industrial temperature range of -40 to +85 °C make the C8051F380DK suitable for a wide variety of embedded applications.
The fixed mounting evaluation board is available in multiple IC package options including 48-pin TQFP, 32-pin LQFP, and 32-pin QFN, allowing designers to evaluate the MCU in the package that best matches their target design.
