The C8051F321 microcontroller from Silicon Labs is an 8-bit device built around a high-speed 8051 core capable of 25 MIPS throughput. It features 16KB of in-system programmable Flash memory and 2.25KB of internal RAM.

This MCU integrates a USB 2.0 function controller with an on-chip transceiver and clock recovery, eliminating the need for external components like crystals or resistors for USB applications. It supports both Full Speed (12 Mbps) and Low Speed (1.5 Mbps) operation with eight flexible endpoints and 1k Byte of USB buffer memory.

On-chip analog peripherals include a 10-bit, 200 ksps ADC with up to 13 external inputs, a built-in temperature sensor, two comparators, and an internal voltage reference. Digital peripherals include enhanced SPI, UART, and SMBus serial ports, along with four 16-bit counter/timers and a 16-bit Programmable Counter Array (PCA).

The C8051F321 is supplied in a 28-pin MLP (5x5 mm) package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is noted as 'Not Recommended for New Designs' (NRND), with EFM8UB10F16G-QFN28 suggested as an alternative.
