C8051F317-GMR

The C8051F317-GMR is a member of the Silicon Labs C8051F31x family of high-speed 8-bit microcontrollers based on the 8051 core. It features a pipelined instruction architecture that executes up to 70% of instructions in 1 or 2 system clocks, achieving up to 25 MIPS throughput at a 25 MHz clock speed.

This device includes 16 kB of in-system programmable Flash memory and 1280 bytes of internal data RAM. It offers 21 general-purpose I/O pins, all 5V tolerant with high sink current, and supports connectivity interfaces including SMBus (I²C), SPI, and UART/USART. On-chip peripherals include a programmable counter array (PCA) with five capture/compare modules, four 16-bit counter/timers, and a watchdog timer (WDT).

The C8051F317-GMR operates from a 2.7 V to 3.6 V supply and draws a typical operating current of 5 mA at 25 MHz, dropping to 11 µA at 32 kHz and 0.1 µA in stop mode. It includes an internal oscillator with ±2% accuracy at 24.5 MHz, eliminating the need for an external crystal in many applications. The device is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is supplied in a 24-pin QFN package with an exposed pad for improved thermal performance.
