C8051F312

The C8051F312 is a member of Silicon Labs' C8051F31x family of high-speed 8-bit microcontrollers. It is built around a pipelined 8051 core that executes up to 70% of instructions in 1 or 2 system clocks, achieving up to 25 MIPS throughput with a 25 MHz clock.

Memory resources include 8 KB of in-system programmable Flash memory (512-byte sectors) and 1280 bytes of internal data RAM. The device integrates a 10-bit successive-approximation ADC with up to 200 ksps sampling rate and 21 external single-ended or differential inputs. On-chip analog peripherals also include comparators with programmable hysteresis and a temperature sensor.

Digital connectivity is provided through SMBus/I²C, SPI, and UART serial interfaces. The microcontroller offers 29 general-purpose I/O pins, all 5V tolerant with high sink current. Additional peripherals include four 16-bit counter/timers, a 16-bit programmable counter array (PCA) with five capture/compare modules, and a watchdog timer.

The device operates from 2.7V to 3.6V and features an internal 24.5 MHz oscillator (±2% accuracy) that supports crystal-less UART operation. It is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is supplied in a 32-pin LQFP package (7x7 mm) for surface mount assembly.
