Analog peripherals include a 10-bit SAR ADC with 8 external inputs, programmable throughput up to 100 ksps, and programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains of 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16. An additional 8-bit ADC provides throughput up to 500 ksps with 8 inputs and PGA gains of 0.5, 1, 2, and 4. Two 12-bit DACs, two analog comparators, and a built-in temperature sensor (±3°C) complete the analog subsystem. The device also includes a precision VDD monitor and brown-out detector.

 

For communication, the MCU supports SMBus (I2C-compatible), SPI, and two UART serial ports, as well as an external memory interface (EBI/EMI). Digital peripherals include five general-purpose 16-bit counter/timers, a programmable counter array with five capture/compare modules, a watchdog timer, and PWM outputs. On-chip JTAG debug and boundary scan enable full-speed, non-intrusive in-circuit debugging.
