The Yageo C2220C226M5R2C7289 is a 22 µF, 50V DC rated, X7R dielectric surface mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) from the KPS (KEMET Power Solutions) series. It utilizes a proprietary lead-frame technology to stack one or two MLCC chips into a single compact package, offering up to double the capacitance in the same footprint compared to traditional MLCCs. The attached lead-frame mechanically isolates the capacitor from the PCB, providing advanced protection against thermal and mechanical stress, reducing audible microphonic noise, and enabling up to 10mm of board flex capability.
This capacitor features a capacitance tolerance of ±20% and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with a capacitance change limited to ±15%. The X7R dielectric offers stable performance over temperature and voltage. The stacked SMD package with J-leads (EIA case code 2220) is designed for low ESL, making it suitable for high-frequency filtering and bypass applications. The termination finish is Matte Sn, ensuring RoHS and REACH compliance.
