The Bel Fuse C1Q 5 is a surface mount fast-acting chip fuse rated at 5A with a voltage rating of 125VAC and 63VDC. It is designed for overcurrent protection in a variety of electronic equipment including notebooks, LCD monitors, PCs, office equipment, industrial and medical equipment, and PoE applications. The fuse is housed in a standard 1206 (3216 Metric) package with dimensions of 3.20mm x 1.58mm x 0.58mm, making it suitable for automated SMD placement.
Electrically, the C1Q 5 offers a breaking capacity of 100A at 125VAC and 50A at 63VDC. It has a nominal cold resistance of 0.022Ω, a voltage drop of 0.154V at 100% rated current, and a power dissipation of 0.77W. The melting I²t is 0.075 A²s at 10 times rated current. The fuse operates over a wide temperature range of -55°C to 125°C and is compatible with lead-free reflow soldering at 260°C.
