The BZX85C39-TAP is a 39V Zener diode from Vishay, part of the BZX85 series of silicon planar power Zener diodes. It is designed for voltage stabilization and clipping circuits requiring high power handling. The device offers a nominal Zener voltage of 39V with a tolerance of ±5% and a maximum power dissipation of 1.3W (valid when leads at 4 mm from case are kept at ambient temperature).
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum dynamic impedance of 50Ω, reverse leakage current of 500 nA at 30V reverse voltage, and an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to +175°C. The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 110 K/W. The diode is packaged in a DO-204AL (DO-41) axial through-hole package, weighing approximately 310 mg. The device is suitable for general purpose voltage regulation, overvoltage protection, and signal clipping applications.
