The BZX55C20 is a Zener diode designed for voltage regulation and overvoltage protection applications. It provides a nominal Zener voltage of 20V at a test current of 5mA, with a tolerance of ±6%. The device can dissipate up to 500mW of power when the lead temperature is maintained at or below 75°C, with derating of 4mW per degree above that.
This diode features a maximum Zener impedance of 55Ω at 5mA, and a reverse leakage current of only 100nA at 15V. The forward voltage is 1.3V maximum at 100mA forward current. It operates over a junction and storage temperature range of -65°C to 200°C.
The BZX55C20 is supplied in a DO-35 glass case with axial leads, suitable for through-hole soldering. The cathode is identified by a color band. This part is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected.
The nominal Zener voltage is 20V at a test current of 5mA.
The maximum power dissipation is 500mW at a lead temperature of 75°C or below, with derating of 4.0mW/°C above 75°C.
The BZX55C20 is available in a DO-35 glass case with axial leads for through-hole mounting.
The tolerance is ±6% (nominal). Note that the datasheet for the series specifies 5% tolerance; this value is unverified.
The maximum reverse leakage current is 100nA at a reverse voltage of 15V, at 25°C.
The maximum forward voltage is 1.3V at a forward current of 100mA.
