The BZX55C12 is a 12V Zener diode manufactured by On Semiconductor, part of the BZX55C series. It provides a nominal Zener voltage of 12V with a tolerance of ±5%, and is designed for power dissipation up to 500mW at lead temperatures ≤75°C. The diode offers low dynamic impedance of 20Ω at 5mA test current, and a maximum reverse leakage current of 0.1µA at 9V. Its operating temperature range spans from -65°C to 200°C.
The device is housed in a DO-35 glass axial-lead package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is ideal for voltage regulation, clipping, and protection circuits in low-power applications. The Zener voltage is measured with the device junction in thermal equilibrium at a lead temperature of 30°C ±1°C with 3/8" lead length.
