The BZW06-15B is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from STMicroelectronics, designed to protect sensitive electronics from overvoltage and ESD events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 15.3V and a clamping voltage of 32.5V at rated peak pulse current. The device can absorb 600W of peak pulse power (10/1000µs waveform) and 123A of peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform).
Steady state power dissipation is rated at 5W at 75°C ambient, and the diode can withstand a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3ms half sine-wave). The junction temperature range spans -50°C to +175°C, with a maximum operating temperature of 150°C. Capacitance is 800pF at 1MHz.
The BZW06-15B is available in a DO-15 (DO-204AC) through-hole package with axial leads. The case material is UL 94V-0 rated, and the device is RoHS3 compliant (exemption 7a-I). Packaging is ammo pack with 4000 units per pack.
