The BZW04-15B is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode from STMicroelectronics, part of the BZW04 series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from over-voltage and ESD events. Key electrical specifications include a reverse stand-off voltage of 15.3 V, a maximum clamping voltage of 25.2 V at 16 A peak pulse current, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 W (10/1000 µs waveform). This device utilizes Zener technology and is available in a through-hole DO-15 (DO-204AC) axial package. The BZW04-15B is suitable for general purpose over-voltage and ESD protection, as well as free-wheeling diode applications. It is compliant with RoHS (exemption 7a), REACH, and conflict minerals requirements. The package is UL 94V-0 rated and solderable at 260 °C for 10 seconds.
