The BZD27C24P-HE3-08 is a 24V nominal Zener diode from Vishay's BZD27C series, designed for voltage regulation and protection in surface mount applications. It features a unidirectional polarity with a single circuit configuration, making it suitable for standard Zener regulation tasks.
Key electrical characteristics include a nominal Zener voltage of 24V, maximum impedance of 15 ohms, and reverse leakage current of 1 microamp at 18V. The forward voltage is rated at 1.2V maximum at 200mA. The device can dissipate up to 800mW at 30°C ambient when mounted on an epoxy-glass PCB with 3mm x 3mm copper pads, and up to 2300mW at 105°C lead temperature.
For transient protection, the diode handles 300W non-repetitive peak surge power for 100 microsecond square pulses and 150W for 10/1000 microsecond waveforms. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 175°C, with junction-to-lead thermal resistance of 30 K/W and junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 180 K/W under specified mounting conditions.
The device comes in a DO-219AB (SMF) surface mount package, compatible with SOD-123W, SOD-123F, and SOD-123FL outlines. It meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 with a maximum peak solder temperature of 260°C, and is RoHS compliant per the HE3 designation.
