BYW100-200 Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The BYW100-200 is a fast recovery rectifier diode designed for high efficiency switching applications. It has a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 1.5A at 95°C ambient with a 0.5 duty cycle. The forward voltage drop is typically 0.85V at 1.5A and 100°C, ensuring low conduction losses.

This diode offers very low conduction and negligible switching losses, with a typical reverse recovery time of 35ns. The reverse recovery charge is 10nC typical. These characteristics make it suitable for switching mode base drive and transistor circuits.

The BYW100-200 is housed in a DO-15 axial leaded package with through-hole mounting. The thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 45°C/W on an infinite heatsink with 10mm lead length. The maximum junction temperature is 150°C, and the storage temperature range is -65°C to +150°C.

Typical applications include high frequency rectification, freewheeling diodes, and snubber circuits in power supplies and motor drives.
