The BYV79E series from Philips Semiconductors are ultrafast, rugged epitaxial rectifier diodes. They are intended for use as output rectifiers in high frequency switched mode power supplies. These diodes feature a low forward voltage drop, fast switching, and a soft recovery characteristic.
Key electrical specifications include a peak repetitive reverse voltage of up to 200V and an average forward current of 14A. The forward voltage drop is a maximum of 0.9V at 14A and 150°C junction temperature. Reverse recovery time is a maximum of 30ns.
