The BYV27-200-TAP is an ultra-fast avalanche sinterglass diode from Vishay. It features a controlled avalanche characteristic, low forward voltage of 1.07V at 3A, and an ultra-fast reverse recovery time of 25ns. The hermetically sealed SOD-57 package provides reliable operation over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. With a peak forward surge current capability of 50A and avalanche energy of 20mJ, this diode is suitable for demanding applications. Its glass passivated junction ensures long-term stability. The diode is commonly used in switch mode power supplies for high-frequency rectification and freewheeling applications.
