The BYV27-150-TAP is an ultra-fast avalanche sinterglass diode from Vishay Dale, part of the BYV27 series. It is designed for very fast rectification in switching power supplies and similar high-frequency circuits.
Key electrical ratings include a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 150 V, non-repetitive peak reverse voltage of 165 V, average forward current rating of 2 A, and peak forward surge current of 50 A. The diode exhibits a low nominal forward voltage of 1.07 V at 3 A and a reverse recovery time of 25 ns, supporting fast switching applications. It can withstand 20 mJ non-repetitive avalanche energy at 175°C junction temperature.
