The BYV27-100-TR is an ultra-fast avalanche rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, featuring a controlled avalanche characteristic and glass passivated junction. It is rated for a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 100 V and an average forward current of 2 A. The reverse recovery time is a maximum of 25 ns, enabling high-frequency switching applications. The diode has a low forward voltage of 1.07 V at 3 A and 25 °C, and is capable of handling a non-repetitive peak forward surge current of 50 A.
This diode is designed for very fast rectification in switch mode power supplies and other high-frequency circuits. The hermetically sealed SOD-57 glass package provides robust protection, and the through-hole axial leads allow for easy mounting. The device operates over a junction temperature range of -55 °C to +175 °C, with a thermal resistance of 45 K/W (lead length 10 mm).
