The BYV27-100-TAP is an ultra-fast avalanche rectifier diode from Vishay Dale, designed for high-efficiency rectification in switch-mode power supplies. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 100V and an average forward current of 2A. The diode offers a fast reverse recovery time of 25ns, making it suitable for high-frequency applications. It also has a controlled avalanche characteristic with a non-repetitive avalanche energy rating of 20mJ, providing robustness against voltage transients. The device is housed in a hermetically sealed SOD-57 axial-lead package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. The peak forward surge current is 50A (10ms half-sine wave), and the repetitive peak forward current is 15A. The forward voltage drop is typically 1.07V at 3A.
