BYV26E-TAP is an ultra-fast avalanche sinterglass diode in the SOD-57 axial package. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000V and an average forward current of 1A. Maximum forward voltage is 2.5V at 1A, with a typical reverse recovery time of 75ns. The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 30A at 10ms half sine wave and non-repetitive reverse avalanche energy of 10mJ.
This diode features a glass passivated junction and a hermetically sealed package, providing very low switching losses and low reverse current. It is well suited for switched mode power supplies and high-frequency inverter circuits. The operating junction and storage temperature range is -55°C to 175°C, with a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 45K/W.
The SOD-57 case has plated axial leads and is solderable per MIL-STD-750, method 2026. Mounting is through-hole, and polarity is indicated by a color band on the cathode end. The BYV26E-TAP ordering code corresponds to ammopack packaging with 5000 units per pack; a tape and reel version (BYV26E-TR) is also available.
