The BYT30P-1000 from STMicroelectronics is a standard fast recovery rectifier diode. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1000 V and an average forward current rating of 30 A at a case temperature of 85°C with a duty cycle of 0.5. The device offers a fast reverse recovery time with a maximum of 165 ns at specified test conditions, and a typical recovery time of 70 ns.
This diode is housed in a plastic SOD93-2 package with through-hole mounting. The case is connected to the cathode. The junction-to-case thermal resistance is 1 °C/W, and the operating junction temperature range is -40 to 150 °C. The diode is suitable for applications such as free-wheeling diodes in converters and motor control circuits, as well as rectifiers in switched-mode power supplies.
