The BYT16P-400 is a fast recovery rectifier diode array from STMicroelectronics, featuring a 1 pair common cathode configuration. It is designed for switch mode power supplies and other power converters, offering very low reverse recovery time and low switching losses.
Key electrical specifications include a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 400V, an average forward current of 16A at Tc=100°C, and a forward voltage of 1.5V maximum at 25°C. The reverse recovery time is as low as 35ns maximum under specific test conditions, making it suitable for high-frequency applications.
The device is housed in a TO-220-3 through-hole package with a maximum operating junction temperature of 150°C. Thermal resistance from junction to case is 3.75°C/W per diode and 2°C/W total, with a coupling thermal resistance of 0.25°C/W.
