The BYT03-400 is a high efficiency ultrafast diode manufactured by STMicroelectronics using 400V planar technology. It is designed for switching mode base drive and transistor circuits, as well as freewheeling diode applications in power supplies and other power switching circuits.
Key electrical specifications include a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 400V, an average forward current (IF(AV)) of 3A at 55°C with a 0.5 duty cycle, and a maximum forward voltage drop of 1.5V at 25°C and 1.4V at 100°C. The device offers a maximum reverse recovery time (trr) of 25ns and a typical forward recovery time (tfr) of 75ns.
The BYT03-400 is housed in a DO-201AD axial leaded package and is intended for through-hole mounting. It has an operating junction temperature range up to 150°C and a storage temperature range of -65°C to +150°C. The thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is 20°C/W with an infinite heatsink and 10mm lead length.
