The BYT01-400 is a high efficiency ultrafast diode from STMicroelectronics, built using 400V planar technology. It is designed for switching mode base drive and transistor circuits, and is also suitable for use as a freewheeling diode in power supplies and other power switching applications.
Key electrical specifications include a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 400V, an average forward current (IF(AV)) of 1A, and a surge non-repetitive forward current (IFSM) of 30A. The forward voltage drop (VF) is 1.5V maximum at 1A and 25°C, and the reverse recovery time (trr) is 25ns maximum under standard test conditions. The device offers very low conduction and switching losses.
The BYT01-400 is housed in a DO-15 (DO-204AC) axial leaded through-hole package. It has a junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of 45°C/W and an operating junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected.
