The BYS12-90-E3/TR is a surface-mount Schottky barrier rectifier from Vishay General Semiconductor. It offers a low forward voltage of 750 mV at 1 A and a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage rating of 90 V, making it well suited for rectification in high-efficiency power circuits.
The device has an average forward rectified current of 1.5 A and can handle a peak forward surge current of up to 40 A (8.3 ms). Maximum reverse leakage current is 100 µA at the rated reverse voltage and 25°C junction temperature. It is rated for operation over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
Thanks to Schottky barrier technology, the BYS12-90 provides very low switching losses and is ideal for high-frequency inverters, switching power supplies, freewheeling diodes, OR-ing diodes, and DC/DC converters. A guardring structure provides additional overvoltage protection.
The diode is supplied in a compact SMA (DO-214AC) package with matte tin plated leads. It is RoHS3 compliant, meets MSL level 1, and is designed for automated surface-mount assembly.
