The BYM12-200-E3/96 is a surface-mount glass passivated ultrafast rectifier diode from Vishay, featuring a Superectifier structure for high reliability. It is designed for high frequency rectification and freewheeling applications in switching mode converters and inverters.
Key electrical ratings include a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200 V, average rectified current of 1 A, peak forward surge current of 30 A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave), and a forward voltage of 1.0 V typical (1.25 V maximum) at 1 A. The ultrafast reverse recovery time of 50 ns enables low switching losses and high efficiency.
The diode is housed in a DO-213AB (MELF) glass package with matte tin plated leads, suitable for automated placement. It is RoHS compliant (E3 suffix), meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020, and operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C.
