The BYG23T-M3/TR is a high voltage ultrafast avalanche SMD rectifier from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed for demanding power electronics applications. It offers a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1300V and a continuous forward current of 1A, with a peak forward surge current rating of 18A.
This diode uses glass passivated pellet chip junction technology and provides an ultrafast reverse recovery time (trr) of 75ns, enabling high-frequency operation. It also features a maximum avalanche energy rating of 5mJ, making it robust for snubber and clamping circuits. The typical forward voltage is 1.74V at 1A and 25°C, dropping to 1.39V at 125°C.
The device is supplied in a surface-mount DO-214AC (SMA) package with matte tin plated terminals and is halogen-free and RoHS-compliant. It is suitable for automated placement and meets MSL level 1 per J-STD-020, with a maximum junction temperature of 150°C.
