The BY255P-E3/54 is a general purpose plastic rectifier diode from Vishay Dale. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1300V and an average forward rectified current of 3A. The device offers a low forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 3A and a low reverse leakage current of 5µA at rated DC blocking voltage. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 150A for 10ms single half sine-wave. The reverse recovery time is 3µs, making it suitable for standard recovery applications. The diode is housed in a DO-201AD axial leaded package with matte tin plated leads, solderable per J-STD-002 and JESD 22-B102. The molded epoxy body meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. Typical applications include general purpose rectification in power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diodes.
