The BY16 is a standard recovery high voltage rectifier diode designed for commercial grade applications requiring high voltage rectification at 50/60 Hz. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 16000 V and a maximum forward current (IFAV) of 300 mA. The forward voltage (VF) is typically 15 V at 0.3 A and 25°C. With a reverse recovery time (trr) of 1500 ns, it is suitable for standard speed rectification.
This diode is housed in an axial through-hole package with UL 94V-0 case material and weighs approximately 1.9 g. It offers high creepage and clearance distances, making it reliable for high voltage applications.
