The BU2373FV-E2 from ROHM Semiconductor is a general-purpose voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) series IC designed for video applications.It integrates a VCO and a phase comparator, allowing easy configuration of a PLL system by connecting an external low-pass filter and frequency divider.The device supports rising edge trigger phase comparison and offers independent power-down modes for the VCO and phase comparator, enabling efficient power management.

The VCO operates over a supply voltage range of 3V to5V.At VDD=3.0V, the oscillation frequency range is37 MHz to60 MHz, while at VDD=5.0V it extends from43 MHz to100 MHz.Typical supply current in normal VCO mode at3.0V and60MHz output is15 mA, and standby current is only1 µA.The maximum power dissipation is400 mW.The device also features a bias resistor range of1.5kΩ to2.0kΩ and a frequency sensitivity of23MHz/V.
