The Infineon BTT6030-1ERA is a single channel smart high-side power switch integrated into a PG-TDSO-14 package. This device is built using N-channel vertical power MOSFET technology with a charge pump, suitable for driving loads in harsh automotive environments. It is designed to replace electromechanical relays, fuses, and discrete circuits, offering protective functions and diagnosis.
Key electrical characteristics include an operating voltage range of 5V to 36V, a maximum supply voltage of 65V, and a nominal load current of 6A. The ON-state resistance is 31mOhm at typical conditions and up to 62mOhm at 150°C. It also features a minimum current limitation of 60A and a very low standby current of 0.5µA.
This power switch provides diagnostic functions such as proportional load current sense, open load detection in ON and OFF states, short circuit to battery and ground detection, and overtemperature warnings. Protection functions include undervoltage stability, overtemperature protection with latch, and voltage-dependent current limitation. The device is AEC qualified and RoHS compliant.
The BTT6030-1ERA is suitable for resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads, particularly those with high inrush current like lamps. It is designed for 12V and 24V truck and transportation systems, capable of driving lamps up to 3 x P21W 24V or 1 x 70W 24V, as well as LEDs.
