BTS7030-2EPA

The Infineon BTS7030-2EPA is a Smart High-Side Power Switch from the PROFET™ +2 12V family, designed for automotive applications. It features integrated protection and diagnosis functions, built on SMART7 technology.

Key electrical specifications include a minimum operating voltage of 4.1V (at switch ON) and a maximum operating voltage of 28V. It provides overvoltage protection up to 35V (TJ ≥ 25 °C) and a nominal load current of 4.5A at 85°C. The device also features a maximum ON-state resistance of 25 mΩ at 150°C and a typical current sense ratio of 2715.

Protection features include absolute and dynamic temperature limitation with controlled restart, overcurrent protection with intelligent restart control, undervoltage shutdown, and overvoltage protection with external components. Diagnostic features include proportional load current sense, open load detection in ON and OFF states, and short circuit detection to ground and battery.

This switch is suitable for resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads, and can replace electromechanical relays, fuses, and discrete circuits. It is designed for driving capability suitable for 4.5A loads and high inrush current loads, such as 2 x P21W lamps or equivalent electronic loads like LED modules. The device is housed in a PG-TSDSO-14 package.
