BTS7006-1EPP Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Infineon BTS7006-1EPP is a smart high-side power switch from the PROFET™ +2 12V family. It is designed to drive resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads up to 12.5 A, making it suitable for applications such as glow plugs, heating loads, DC motors, and general power distribution.

This device features integrated protection functions including absolute and dynamic temperature limitation, overcurrent protection with intelligent latch, undervoltage shutdown, and overvoltage protection with external components. Diagnostic capabilities include proportional load current sense, open load detection in ON and OFF states, and short circuit detection to ground and battery.

The BTS7006-1EPP is qualified for automotive applications and validated according to AEC-Q100 Grade 1. It comes in a PG-TSDSO-14 package and supports ReverseON for low power dissipation in reverse polarity conditions and InverseON for switch-on capability during inverse current conditions.

Key electrical specifications include a minimum operating voltage of 4.1 V, a maximum operating voltage of 28 V, and a typical ON-state resistance of 6.6 mΩ at 25 °C. The maximum ON-state resistance is 12 mΩ at 150 °C. It also provides a nominal load current of 12.5 A at 85 °C and a minimum overload detection current of 81 A at -40 °C.
