The Samtec BSW-108-04-T-D is a 16-position, double-row bottom entry socket strip designed for board-to-board stacking applications. It features a 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts, ensuring reliable electrical connections. The insulator is made of black thermoplastic with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, providing robust mechanical support.
This socket strip uses a through-hole bottom mount configuration, allowing it to be mounted on the underside of the PCB for ultra-low profile designs. The push-pull fastening type ensures secure mating with compatible headers such as TSW, MTSW, and HTSW series. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 105°C for tin plating, with a minimum insulation resistance of 5000 MΩ and a withstanding voltage of 1000 VRMS at 60 Hz.
Designed for wave soldering only, the BSW-108-04-T-D is lead-free solderable and complies with RoHS3, REACH, and UL standards (E111594). It is packaged in bulk and suitable for applications requiring low-profile connections and high-temperature soldering processes.
