The BSS138 is an N-Channel logic level enhancement mode field effect transistor produced by On Semiconductor (onsemi) using their proprietary, high cell density DMOS technology.
This MOSFET is rated for a drain-source voltage of 50V and a continuous drain current of 220mA at 25°C. Key on-resistance specifications include a maximum Rds(on) of 3 ohms at 10V gate drive and 6 ohms at 4.5V gate drive. The device has a maximum gate threshold voltage of 1.6V at 250 µA drain current.
The BSS138 features a maximum input capacitance of 27 pF at 25V drain-source voltage. It is designed for low voltage, low current applications and offers rugged, reliable, and fast switching performance.
The device is offered in the industry standard SOT-23-3 surface mount package (TO-236-3, SC-59 alternatives) and is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel. The maximum power dissipation is 350 mW at 25°C ambient. The operating junction temperature range is up to 150°C.
