The BQ3285LFSS-A1TR is a real-time clock (RTC) and calendar IC from Texas Instruments, designed as a direct replacement for IBM AT-compatible computer clock/calendar functions. It provides time-of-day and calendar tracking with automatic leap-year adjustment and optional daylight saving. The device includes 242 bytes of general nonvolatile storage for system data.
The RTC operates from a 2.7V to 3.6V supply and typically draws 100µA at 3V. It communicates via a parallel interface with selectable Intel or Motorola bus timing. Date and time are available in BCD or binary format, with 12- or 24-hour time-of-day display. An alarm function can generate interrupts once per second to once per day.
Additional features include a programmable square wave output, a 32.768kHz output for power management, and system wake-up capability through the alarm interrupt active in battery-backup mode. The part is packaged in a 24-lead SSOP (0.154", 3.90mm width) for surface mount assembly and supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
The bq3285L variant operates from 2.7V to 3.6V.
It is available in a 24-SSOP (0.154", 3.90mm width) surface mount package.
The operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C.
RoHS3 compliant per existing product data, but this is unverified and low confidence.
It provides 242 bytes of general nonvolatile storage (NVSRAM).
It supports a parallel interface with selectable Intel or Motorola bus timing.
Typical supply current is 100µA at 3V.
