The BQ26150DCKR from Texas Instruments is a specialized IC designed for battery pack security and authentication. It ensures that only authorized battery packs are used in end applications by employing a 96-bit unique device ID, a device-unique 16-bit seed, and a 16-bit device-specific CRC.
