The Texas Instruments BQ24003RGWR is an advanced Li-Ion linear charge management IC suitable for PDAs, internet appliances, MP3 players, and digital cameras. It provides a highly integrated solution with features like FET pass-transistor, reverse-blocking Schottky, and thermal protection.
This IC integrates voltage and current regulation with programmable charge current up to 1.2A. It boasts high-accuracy voltage regulation of ±1% and supports single-cell Li-Ion packs with coke or graphite anodes. The device includes a safety-charge timer during preconditioning and fast charge, as well as integrated cell conditioning for reviving deeply discharged cells.
Additional features include optional temperature or input-power monitoring before and during charge, various charge-status output options for LEDs or host-processor interface, and charge termination by minimum current and time.
