The Texas Instruments BQ20Z80DBT-V102 is an advanced battery gas gauge IC designed for Lithium Ion and Li-Polymer battery packs. It supports 2 to 4 series cells and communicates via the SMBus interface. This IC utilizes patented Impedance Track technology to provide accurate available charge measurements throughout the battery's lifetime, with better than 1% error.
Key features include SHA-1 authentication, a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, and integrated fault protection for over current, over temperature, over/under voltage, and short circuits.
