This IC features a powerful low-power RISC CPU core with high-performance peripherals and integrated flash memory, eliminating the need for external configuration EEPROM. It utilizes a 16-bit Delta Sigma converter for accurate voltage and temperature measurements and a high-resolution 16-bit integrating converter for charge flow measurement. The BQ2084DBT also includes self-calibrating offset error correction and programmable cell modeling for maximum fuel gauge accuracy.

 

Designed for applications such as notebook PCs, medical and test equipment, and portable instrumentation, the BQ2084DBT operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 85°C. It is available in a 38-pin TSSOP package and supports SMBus interface.

 

The BQ2084DBT can drive 3-, 4-, or 5-segment LED displays for remaining capacity indication. It works in conjunction with the TI bq29312A Analog Front-End (AFE) Protection IC to provide complete pack electronics for various battery pack configurations.
