The BP2832A from BPS is a high-precision, non-isolated buck constant current LED driver. It is designed to operate in critical conduction mode and is suitable for offline LED lighting applications with a universal input voltage range of 85Vac to 265Vac.
This device integrates a 500V power MOSFET, minimizing the need for external components and reducing system cost and size. The BP2832A offers excellent constant current performance with features such as LED open protection, LED short protection, and current sensing resistor short protection. Its ultra-low operating current is achieved through a patent-pending MOSFET driving technique, eliminating the need for an auxiliary winding for chip supply.
The BP2832A is available in a SOP-8 package. Its key features include critical conduction mode operation, internal 500V power MOSFET, no auxiliary winding requirement, ultra-low operating current, and ±5% LED output current accuracy.
