The Bosch BMP390 is a compact and low-noise 24-bit absolute barometric pressure sensor designed for a wide range of altitude tracking applications. It features a supply voltage range of 1.65V to 3.6V and supports both I²C and SPI interfaces, making it versatile for integration into various designs.
With an absolute accuracy of ±0.01PSI (0.05kPa) and a relative accuracy of ±0.03 hPa (equivalent to ±25 cm), the BMP390 provides highly accurate pressure measurements. Its low noise and stable performance are crucial for applications like indoor localization, floor level detection, enhanced GPS for outdoor navigation, and accurate fitness tracking.
The sensor operates within a pressure range of 300 to 1250 hPa and has a maximum sampling rate of 200 Hz. It is housed in a small 10-pin LGA package measuring 2.0 x 2.0 x 0.75 mm³, suitable for surface mounting in space-constrained devices such as smartphones, wearables, hearables, and drones.
